Smog Check and Brake and Light Certification

California State Law requires registered vehicles to be smog check certified. Reseda Automotive is a California certified smog check test and repair station. This means that if your vehicle fails the smog test, our ASE Certified Technicians can perform the necessary repairs so that your car runs clean, operates more efficiently, and passes the test. We test and certify cars, trucks and diesels.
As of 2011, according to the DMV: http://www.dmv.ca.gov, Smog inspections are required unless your vehicle is:
• A Hybrid
• A Gasoline powered 1975 year model or older
• Diesel powered prior to 1998 or with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of more than 14,000 lbs
• Electric
• Natural gas powered with a GVWR of more than 14,000 lbs.
• A Motorcycle
